Champagne and cherries 5x7 canvas panel

This was my drink of choice on valentines day and on my 4th one I started noticing how beautiful they are and I told my husband I must paint it.

Mushrooms on a plate 6x6 canvas

This is what I like to call a disaster. I'm not really sure what went wrong. I started with a gray background that just blended in to the rest so I switched to black which is OK but I guess I didn't get enough shading under the mushrooms. So discouraging!
